OUR ORIGINS

Placing heritage at the center of our brand

Henry Hudson was a voyager and explorer in the late 1500s. His discovery of waterways across the North American east coast enabled centuries of commercial activity. Our brand carries his name and directly integrates the tool he trusted and relied on - The Astrolabe.

The Astrolabe was a critical navigation instrument that Hudson used to measure the angle between the horizon and the North Star to calculate latitude.

DECONSTRUCTING PRECISION

Rooting our logo in the Astrolabe & the Divine Grid

The attributes of innovation, sophistication, and precision associated with the Astrolabe instrument are the primary anchors that inform the construction of our logo.

We closely examined the Astrolabe instrument, which resulted in the distillation of a geometric, mandala math-inspired grid that guides the visual construction of our mark.

The geometric construct distilled from the Astrolabe instrument provided us with a precise canvas that informed the position of eighty individual elements placed at the intersecting points of the grid, thereby ensuring visual rhythm and cohesion.

The final result is a harmonious Hudson Technology Systems mark, rooted in math and art - elements at the foundation of our core brand beliefs.
